Octavio is a manager at the company where he works. Have at the moment, 3 dependents. A week ago they were 4. What happened to the fourth person made me think that instead of forward, going backward.
as 9 months ago, hired Octavio Javier, a kid fresh out of college. If you knew Javier (I met him and talked to him several times) You saw a guy a little nervous, smiling and half atrabancado. Octavio has not had some fun experiences with their previous contracts, so I decided to Javier to work under pressure from the beginning (not much really, but I guess if it was Javier). After two months of work, a day Javier Octavio was frustrated because I could not help that when a problem (Octavio was working well and does not like to be disturbed) and Javier left the office and went home with the idea never to return. It was 11 am and did not notify anyone. Just went to his house because he felt desperate because he knew what to do with the problem at two months into his life as a professional.
At home he spoke with a friend who convinced him to return to work the next day. And he did.
I guess that would have been a sign that something was wrong there, but when Octavio told me he saw it as childish perhaps, but nothing to worry about. I then thought this guy does not last 1 year but said nothing.
work in the office of Octavio is complicated, it looks like what I do in many respects. Work making plans for the industry (like me) and time is important, so that sometimes lasts for weeks in the office Monday through Sunday until after 9 pm with completing such a project and have it ready the day of delivery. Not many people hold that pace.
Javier does not know English, and Octavio need your people can read, speak and write well English, so I began to pay tuition to Javier. Months passed. According
Octavio, Javier showed a somewhat immature attitude at work (he laughed when he drew attention, but perhaps it was nerves, I do not know). However, the boy was hardworking and intelligent, so he saw potential Octavio.
Two weeks ago, Javier began to joke that I was not going to return to work next week. Jokes are made even before Octavian, but as the environment in the office lends itself to such jokes, nobody took him seriously. On Thursday, Javier Octavio asked the money to pay tuition for the next period (2 weeks) English. Octavian gave, like the other times. On Friday, Javier worked normal and collected at the end of the day (it paid for the entire week - Monday to Saturday). That day he told a fellow of the office and not coming back the next day (although the day was already paid) but still, all thought it was a simple comment. Javier
not returned the next day.
Octavio Last Monday received an email from Javier in which he warned that he was not going to work harder for it (even that which he thanked for the work). The Mail two lines. Two lines gave the boy. These two lines had misspellings. Octavio
could not believe it. And although when I talked him shortly after receiving this email I was surprised a couple of hours later and did not seem so surprising.
What did Javier was irresponsible and unprofessional. I had an image of immaturity and instability of the boy but something beyond the limits.
