For those who like to rock (in any genre) you probably already know the line-up of the Coachella festival this year. In 2009, as recent years, the festival lasts 3 days (previously only 2) and the main attraction are the last 3 bands each day (please click on picture to see a larger version of the flyer).
FRIDAY 17: 42 bands this day, I know 9 of them (which must be a record: P). Close Mr. McCartney, but for me the day are interesting Morrissey and Ferdinand (despite the new releases of these two seemed not the best). Leonard Cohen at Coachella? WTF!
SATURDAY 18: 42 groups as well, but I know only 3 of them: S. .. I guess most will go to see The Killers , and I like much, but I love to see Amy Winehouse live.
SUNDAY 19
: I know groups of 37 to 7. The Cure closes, so of course there will be, and as icing on the cake, see also the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and My bloddy Valentine ...
Tickets for one day, announcing as of 99 dllrs come out at the end of 120 or more after all the fees inventing >:(... as ticketmaster, I have my ticket for Sunday And if you're rich and want to go to the three days, for the modest sum of 269 dllrs (which will be coming to end in more than 290) can buy tickets to go on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
For those who have never attended this festival is one of the world's largest of its kind and is carried out in a polo field is in Indio, CA. so there is no refuge where shade from the sun (even if you're from Mexicali you will feel like spring, jajajaja) no chairs to relax, but there is much grass to sit down.
Parking is free, thankfully, the doors open from 11:00 am and the event ends at midnight three days, so you must be prepared to spend all day standing in the sun. The event is not in rain suspends and you can not carry an umbrella or parasol (.

Hay (as I recall, 2004) at least 2 big stage where they are playing groups all the time, but apart is the tent electronics, where there all day listening Punchis-Punchis excellent dj's and artists in this genre (Madonna recently presented in this tent). The event is not only musical, since there are exhibitions of sculptures and paintings all over the place, so there is enough material to not get bored.
If you want to go and see only 1 group may be better to not wait to see them alone elsewhere (you will come much cheaper) ... but if you the money to go, and at least a couple of groups in the line-up that you love, is probably a good idea to go :)...
